Julie Otto is a former English and British international golfer who not only has had a successful amateur playing career, but has also been involved in the administration of the game to the very highest level.
Having played in five Curtis Cup matches for Great Britain and Ireland against the United States of America, she brings to professional golf and in particular the coaching of the game a wealth of experience. Since retiring from international amateur golf after the 1996 Curtis Cup Match as the reigning British, Australian and Spanish Amateur Champion, she moved into golf administration which culminated in the position of Assistant Director – Rules at The R&A.
Following a change of direction within the game, Julie completed the PGA Training Programme in 2014 and was named Titleist PGA Assistant of the Year 2015, finishing top of her year in academic studies as well as receiving the highest awards for coaching, equipment technology and business modules of the PGA Foundation Degree in Professional Golf Studies.
Since completing the PGA qualification, Julie is now an accomplished teaching professional, a Fellow of the Professional Golfers’ Association and mentor to students on the training programme. She is also an assessor and examination marker for the equipment technology, golf coaching and business modules of the Foundation Degree.
From beginners through to more experienced players, Julie can offer you effective golf coaching to improve your ability and understanding of the game. Julie specialises in adult coaching with lessons delivered with an uncomplicated and relaxed approach. In addition to individual lessons, regular group lessons are popular and run throughout the majority of the year.
